A solitary mushroom emerges from a bed of dry pine needles and decaying leaves. Its cap, pale and slightly weathered, bears patches of soil and fallen debris. The stem, slender and muted, anchors it to the earth. Surrounding it, the forest floor is a mosaic of brown and tan — brittle needles, curled twigs, and fragments of bark. A few green blades peek through, offering a subtle contrast. The light is soft, diffused, as if filtered through a canopy above. The scene feels quiet, almost still, as if time has paused in this woodland corner.
