A red squirrel stands alert on a patch of earth and grass, its bushy tail arched high, a rich russet against the dappled green. Sunlight filters through the trees, casting soft shadows and highlighting the texture of its fur. The ground is scattered with dry leaves and blades of grass, some still green, others brown and brittle. Behind, the forest floor is dense with undergrowth and slender tree trunks, their bark rough and weathered. The squirrel holds a small object in its paws, perhaps a nut or seed, its gaze focused and quiet. The atmosphere is still, natural, and unbothered, as if time has paused just enough for this creature to be present in its element. The colors are earthy and muted, blending into the woodland setting.
